Afternoon in Manila

Ristorante delle Mitre placemat
Manila Sidewalk
I went to Manila one Sunday afternoon for an early lunch with Vic's family (Vic is my boyfriends name) at Ristorante de Mitre. The place is so.. Catholic : ) It's like you will be ashamed of yourself, if you didn't say grace first before eating your meal! hahaha.. But overall the place is nice and peaceful and the food is great and cheap actually. I am expecting it to be more expensive since the place is like a fine dining place. Anyway, try visiting the place when your in Manila. Sorry I didn't get a chance to take some pictures with the food and the place. I was so hungry that time that when my order came, I ate already. Try their paella and chicken adobo in olive oil and lemon. I didn't like the pumpkin soup I ordered though.

But I have some pictures outside while we walked on the way to the restaurant and when we visit San Agustine Church after dinner. This is the church my parents got married. I been here many times already and it is still beautiful. I heard when you want to get married here, you need to reserve your date at least a year or more. Couples especially citizens here in Manila like this church as their venue for their to promise to love each other, 'till death to they part... Although, not for me. I prefer smaller church than this one. And I don't want to follow my parents steps.. sorry Mommy.. haha.. :) because my parents got separated after 15 years of marriage. But still, it is a nice church.. One of the oldest church here in the Philippines built between 1587 and 1606. They have a museum too that you can check out besides the church. San Agustine Church is actually just in front of Ristorante delle Mitre. It is nice to have a small tour in your own country once in a while. We actually have a rich culture to share. : ) Maybe next time, I will try to bring my siblings here one sunny day.
